I’m convinced that we’re seeing an evolution in kitchen design, with European influences combining with extraction technology better suited to our climate… It’s not just the rise of open-plan. It’s also the way that European approaches to space are being adapted to our tastes and to the shapes of our homes.

We wouldn’t have designed a Shaker kitchen this way ten years ago, is what I’m saying.
